The scheme places graduates with host organisations to work on specific projects for varying periods, from 6 weeks up to a year.
A Graduate Business Partnerships (GBP) internship will provide valuable work experience, enhance your CV and “kick start your career”, improving your chances in the job market.
All our GBP internships are paid and graduates work on real business projects. GBP internships are located in the South West, including Cornwall.
Graduates undertake practical work within a company and more than 70% of graduates are retained by their host organisations, either on a permanent or extended contract.
We particularly encourage students in their final year of study to register, in preparation of their graduate status. Click here to find out more.
The University manages short and long term internships, from 8 weeks up to a year depending on the needs of individual organisations. The internships offer companies a unique opportunity to complete specific projects and “test drive” potential new employees.
We will advertise your GBP to attract graduates from any university that meet your job description and person specification. To apply, graduates must complete and return an application form, along with a covering letter. We can help you in the selection process by going through the applications and removing any candidates that do not meet the basic selection criteria. This leaves you to select the most suitable candidates for interview.
Successfully placed graduates will be expected to attend an Internship Preparation Day and two Management Skills workshops during their internship. The University will support both your organisation and the successful graduate throughout the internship so as to ensure both parties get the best out of their GBP experience.
