What is Gateway?

The Gateway provides employers with a pool of recent graduates who they can engage in undertaking some short projects within their organisation.  This might be subsidised depending on the size and age of the business.

Who and where are the graduates?

The graduates are carefully selected for their skills and capabilities.  They have to live in Cornwall and will deliver the project from within your business.

How does it work?

Unlocking Potential employs the graduates, so you don’t have to. All you do is tell us how many hours you would like to engage a graduate for (minimum 20 and maximum 60 hours for each project) and we then set up your ‘Gateway account’ and invoice you.

The cost to your business is minimal, and your financial contribution to the ‘Gateway account’ goes towards the payment, training and development of the engaged graduates.

The Gateway team will help you to scope your project and can advise you on the best graduates to help and when they will be available. They will then set up the project with you so that your graduate(s) can start.

What are the projects?

Individual business projects will vary in duration from a few days to a few weeks and you may choose to engage an individual or groups of graduates to deliver them. Typically, an individual graduate may be engaged for 15 hours per week for up to 4 weeks, however this can flex, and groups of graduates could deliver on longer, more engaged projects where appropriate or where different skills sets are required. The projects must offer work of graduate level – and the team of staff will be able to help you ensure you are doing this.  .
